Overview
This article describes two metrics found on the Analyze page, under the Order Share tab for a selected physician or organization. On the selected Analyze page, the metrics in the table will show the opposite provider type in the table, so the metric names are similar as in the table below. (also see images)
Metric name - % of Orders... | Metric name - Contribution | |
On Physician Analyze page | % of Orders to this Organization | Organization Contribution Rank |
On Organization Analyze page | % of Orders from this Physician | Physician Contribution Rank |
In general, we try to avoid the word "this" because it is ambiguous. For these metrics, the header should say, "% of Orders to the listed Organization," and "% of Orders from the listed Physician." That is, the metric refers to the Organization or Physician listed in each row of the table.
Where are these metrics?
Understanding the Metrics for a Selected Physician
% of Orders to this Organization
This metric represents the percent of the scripts written by the selected physician that were fulfilled by the listed organization.
An example - a provider orders 100 patients to have continuous home oxygen therapy. 25% go to organization A, 50% go to organization B, 10% go to organization C, 10% go to organization D, and 5% to organization E.
Organization Contribution Rank
This metric represents the physician's ranked volume of orders for the receiving organization. This can also be viewed as the value of that physician to that organization.
For example, if Dr. Jones writes scripts where 50%-75% are fulfilled by HME company X, however his volume of orders is low compared to other physicians having scripts fulfilled by HME company X, his contribution rank will be low.
